Company Overview

The CRdC Nuove Tecnologie per le Attività Produttive Scarl (CRdC Tecnologie Scarl) was established at the end of 2002 as a Regional Competence Center.

The Regional Competence Centers were conceived and implemented by the Campania Region to serve as an interface between the world of research and the world of production. They represent a unique, unprecedented experience in Italy, capable of systematically and effectively disseminating and transferring knowledge and technologies within the region and the country. The Centers consolidate the expertise of university departments, the National Research Council (CNR), ENEA, Scientific and Technological Parks, and non-profit research foundations.

The initiative involved a significant investment in human resources and new equipment to execute a “demonstrator project.” At the end of 2006, the regional support phase concluded, and the Centers transformed into limited liability companies, organized as consortia of research organizations.

CRdC is a Consortium Company for Research and Technology Transfer and is fully publicly owned. Its shareholders are:

  • University of Naples “Federico II”

  • University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” (formerly Second University of Naples)
